What is Staff Mode?
Staff Mode gives the people working in your shop their own way into Phoneo, separate from the owner's account. Each staff member signs in as themselves, and the owner decides what they are able to reach.
The point is not surveillance — it is that a shop with staff needs the counter to work without handing over the whole business. Someone billing customers does not need access to your purchase prices, your margins or your accounts.

How staff login works
The owner creates the staff member in Phoneo, which gives that person their own way in with a unique staff code. From then on they are working as themselves inside your shop's data rather than as a second copy of you.
Staff Mode is available from the Gold plan upward.
Owner control and permissions
Access is granted section by section, so a staff member sees the parts of Phoneo their job requires and nothing else. A person billing at the counter can be given billing without being given purchase prices, margins or the shop's accounts.
Because the owner sets this, it can be tightened or relaxed as someone's role changes, and revoked when they leave — neither of which is possible with a shared password.

Staff in the repair workflow
Staff Mode is what makes repair assignment meaningful. Repair jobs are assigned to a specific technician and can be transferred to another, so in a shop with several people on the bench it is always clear who holds a job.
Accountability at the counter
When each person works under their own login, the work done in the shop is attributable rather than anonymous. That is useful for ordinary reasons — checking who raised a particular bill, or which staff member handled a customer — long before it is ever needed for anything more serious.
